Anambra’ll provide adequate basic social amenities for residents – Ibezim

ANAMBRA State Government has assured adequate provision of basic social amenities for the state’s citizenry.

  The state’s deputy governor, Onyekachukwu Ibezim gave the assurance during the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Nigeria Pallottine Headquarters, Heart of Jesus Province, in  Mbaukwu, Awka South Local Government Area.

  Dr Ibezim expressed the need for ndi  Anambra, both at home and in the diaspora, to support the vision of the Soludo government towards the  transformation of the state by bringing their wealth home and attracting developments to the state to make it the Dubai of Africa.

  Dr Ibezim promised that the present administration will do it’s best to provide the basic amenities for the citizenry especially in infrastructure and security.

  Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, in a homily, called on Christians to be praying for South East and Nigeria at all times as the situation in the country calls for divine intervention.

  In a remark, the Superior, Pallottine Society Nigeria, Reverend Father Cosmas Onwukwe explained that the project will contain youth centre where youths will be trained in various skills as well as church building where the spiritual needs of the people will be met, among other things.

  Traditional ruler of Mbaukwul, Igwe Peter Anugwu, who is the donor of the land on which the project is being executed, said he gave his  total support to the project because of its development driving capability which will help the creation of employment opportunities for the teeming youths in the area.
