“BEING a person of destiny is about your service to God. You cannot discover yourself until you first discover God. The closer you are to God, the more of yourself you see”

This was stated by the Anambra State Pastor, Dominion City, Pastor Ugonna Emechebe (Pastor Yugo) at Stanel, Awka, during a church service to mark the closing ceremony of the women’s programe titled “The Ecclesia, A Revival Assembly of Women on a Mission”

The clergy while commending women for their support in the propagation of the gospel, noted that women have five mandates which they are called to fulfill such as the mandate of destiny, mandate of help; mandate of motherhood, mandate of career  as well as mandate for society.

According to Pastor Yugo, “every woman is called to manifest God’s glory and your manifestation is dependent on your encounter with God.” He maintained that as a help mate, a woman is called to produce highly qualified help loaded with a kind of software that nobody has access to, describing them as special breed.

While charging women to avoid crisis in their marriages by being a mirror to their husbands instead of being in competition with them, he urged them to set good examples to their children both in moral and character. “As a mother, you must be intentional in parenting. You should not leave the development of your children entirely in the hands of school teachers.

The state pastor further stated, “ in fulfilling the mandate of career and business woman, you should avoid being a trophy wife, be part of the building, be a pillar; add value to your husband and the society at large”.

Speaking on a topic, ‘Women and Career’, Dr. Anne Ojimba urged women to place a balance between their services to God, families as well as social life, noting that being a career woman is a blessing which should be handled maturely, having God as their first priority.

While charging Christian women to discover God’s purpose for them, she used the Biblical Lydia as a good example of a successful Christian woman who is also a business woman and also a wife. She explained that having ambition is not bad but being able to distinguish between selfish and Godly ambition, calling on women to take proper care of themselves by eating good food, taking exercise as well as living a life of gratitude to God.

The event, which started on Friday, featured expository teaching, workshops, special choir ministration from Enugwu-Agidi Chapter and Awka Chapter women, thanksgiving among other things
