Anambra teachers, against lateness to work

ANAMBRA State Commissioner for Education Prof Ngozi Chuma -Udeh has stressed the need for attitudinal change, warning against lateness to work, absenteeism and procrastination in the discharge of their duties.

  She stated this while addressing Management of the Ministry of  Education, Zonal Directors of PPSSC and ASUBEB, the Zonal Education Officers and Area Education Officers.

  The commissioner called on staff in the Ministry to be punctual to work adding that her administration will not condone lateness to work.

   Prof. Chuma-Udeh disclosed that Government’s emphasis is to provide education that would enable acquisition of at least one skill for every child.

  Commissioner Udeh who expressed optimism that with the crop of staff in the Ministry of Education success stories would be recorded.

  Earlier while welcoming the Commissioner on behalf of the Education family, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Nwando Obiano pledged the commitment of the staff towards ensuring the success of the Education sector under Commissioner Udeh.

  Commissioner Udeh was later conducted round various departments in the Ministry by the Permanent Secretary, Nwando Obiano.
