THE Advisory Board for Nigeria Prize for Literature that is being sponsored by Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited has handed over 287 entries received for the 2022 edition of the prize.
Giving the figure while speaking during a ceremony in Lagos, Chair of the Prize’s Advisory Board, Prof. Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo, said the entries received were handed over to the panel of judges that would determine who goes home with the $100,000 prize among the 287 contestants in poetry genre.
According to her, the panel is lead by Prof. Sule Egya, a renowned poet and professor of African Literature and Cultural Studies in Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State.
Also, during the ceremony, the Advisory Board handed over 87 entries received for the NLNG’s Prize for Literary Criticism.
Other members of the panel of judges are Toyin Adewale-Gabriel and Dike Chukwumerije.
