We’ll take clean up exercise to every community – Ibezim

DEPUTY Governor of Anambra State, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has said that government will take the ongoing special clean up exercise to every community in the state.

  Dr. Ibezim made the call while inspecting the ongoing evacuation of waste and desilting of drainages in Awka metropolis.

  Explaining that programme is aimed at fulfilling one of the campaign promises of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo towards integrating a habitable homeland and urban regeneration for the people, he called on citizens and residents of the state to complement the government’s efforts by cultivating the culture of maintaining a clean and habitable environment.

  Speaking shortly after the inspection, Dr Ibezim, stated that the cleaning was necessary considering the harmful effect of refuse on human health.

  Therefore, he called on citizens and residents to complement government efforts by ensuring a clean environment.

  Areas inspected by Ibezim and his team that included   Commissioner for Environment, Engineer Felix Odimegwu and others were Juhel Junction, Queen Suites Junction, Iyiagu Estate and Club Road Junction by Isuaniocha road among others.
