Anambra orders squatters causing environmental nuisance to leave

ANAMBRA State Government has ordered squatters causing environmental nuisance along Hausa Quarters, Amawbia-Nise Road to vacate with their property.

  Deputy Governor of the state, Onyekachukwu Ibezim, gave the order while inspecting the ongoing evacuation exercise at the area.

  Dr. Ibezim explained that the squatters normally engage in scavenging from the refuse dump which led them to be encouraging irresponsible dumping of refuse in the location in other to pick recyclable materials from the illegal refuse dump.

  Dr. Ibezim expressed that the government is out to clear all refuse dumps in Anambra State   so as to make the state a livable environment.

  The deputy governor urged the citizens to desist from illegal dumping of refuse and to ensure that they make use of the waste bins provided by the government.

  Speaking, Kenneth Moneke, commended the deputy governor for his activeness and urged him not to relent in his efforts to make Anambra a better place to live.
