Soludo gives hope to Anambra youths

Youths’ll be encouraged to create positive change – Nwabunwanne

ANAMBRA State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has assured youths of the state that they will always be carried along in this present administration.

  The governor stated this during the Anambra youth prayer and victory party, organised by United Anambra Youths Assembly (U-AYA), United Anambra Women Assembly (U-AWA) and Anambra Mandate For Good Governance (AMFGG), Which was held at Prof Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka,

  The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, expressed that the present administration has the interest of the youth at heart.

  He expressed gratitude to the organisers and memebers of the unions for their massive support which contributed to their victory and promised to meet up with expectations of ndi Anambra, who elected him to serve them under the flagship of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA.

  The Convener of the Programme and member, representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Chinedu Obidigwe, appreciated the memebers for standing firm with APGA without compromising their consciences during the last election, adding that Governor Soludo has come for total change for ndi Anambra.

  Obidigwe  thanked the former governor of the state, Chief Willie Obiano and the ruling party, APGA, for giving ndi Anambra Professor Soludo, maintaining that the organisation has recorded unprecedented achievements, monumental development and progress in the past few years, praying that it would continue to wax strong.

  The event had in attendance, priests, former Chief of Staff, Mr. Primus Odili, former Chairman, Awka South LGA, Prince Azubuike Ilo, among others.

  In a related development, youths in Anambra State have been advised to be agents of change and support the change the country is clamouring for.

  Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr Collins Nwabunwanne gave the advise while delivering a keynote lecture in a one-day youth leaders capacity building seminar, held at the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Conference Hall, Government House Awka.

  Speaking on the theme ‘Setting the Right values for livable and prosperous Anambra State’, Commissioner Nwabunwanne stressed that the  government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo is ready to encourage youths to create positive change in the state and the country at large, noting that youths as the future and builder of a nation have a role to play in the development of the state and country at large.

  The local government boss made it known that the present administration is poised towards building the professional capacity of youths by training them in various skills, teach them how to be  leaders and agents of social change for them to be useful to themselves and make positive contributions in the society.

  He encouraged youths to invest in themselves by acquiring skills, attend training and also engage in active participation in governance, advocating transparency and accountability among youths.

  Commissioner Nwabunwanne further urged youths to seek to learn from older generations, control their emotions, think straight and develop a positive mindset, as well as have respect for constituted authorities.

  In their separate lectures during the technical session, the CEO / MD Anambra Small Business Agency (ASBA), Chief Dr Clem Chukwuka and the PRO, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr Tony Obiorah, among others, educated the participants on “Relevant Skills For Transformational Leadership and Essential Values For Youth Leaders as Agents of Change”.
