Locally manufactured goods’ll boost Anambra’s economy – Ibezim

ANAMBRA State Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has assured that the Prof Charles Soludo-led administration is interested in promotion of locally made goods in the state. 

  Dr Ibezim gave the assurance while speaking to the press shortly after inspecting the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM).

  He expressed that the government is putting all efforts in supporting indigenous goods as one of the priorities of the present administration and urged manufacturers in the state to be quality conscious and focused in achieving standards in their productions.

  Dr Ibezim explained that locally manufactured goods initiative will assist in boosting the economy of the state bring in more factories in the state and also create employment among the youths. He urged ndi Anambra to see the need in patronising them.

  Regarding the effort towards maintaining clean and healthy environment in the state, he said the government is currently negotiating with waste-bin manufacturing companies in the state including the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing and others so as to actualise its door to door stationing of waste-bins for easy evacuation of wastes.

  Chief Executive Officer, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, Mr Innocent Chukwuma, who spoke through the company’s spokesperson, Mr Cornelius Osigwe, assured of their commitment in partnering the government and that the company will continue to improve the quality of its productions.
