Nwosu wins APGA primary for Nnewi North Constituency

APGA frontline contender and Senior Special Assistant to former Governor of Anambra State, Willle Obiano on NUPENG and Union Matters has won All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) primary election for Nnewi North Constituency.

  The Returning Officer, Pastor Felix Eke, while declaring the result of the election held at the Anado Hall, Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area, on Tuesday, said that out of 29 votes cast, Comr Nwosu polled 27 votes to defeat opponents.

  According to the result, Comr Pater Nwosu scored 27 votes, while Ibeneme Onyeka scored one vote and Okwumuo Izuchukwu one vote respectively, living Owulu Ikechukwu with no vote.

  Pastor Felix Eke, in his exact words said: “With the powers conferred on me as returning officer for this election, I hereby declare Comr Peter Nwosu winner, having polled the highest votes in this election,”

  In his remarks immediately after the election, Comr Nwosu thanked God and also the delegates for voting him, adding that Nnewi North people made the right choice.

  He commended his co-aspirants for their spirit of sportsmanship, saying the election was free, fair and acceptable to all aspirants.

  He urged party stakeholders to close ranks and remain united for the task of winning the general election.

 The president-general of Uruagu community, Mr Innocent Okoli, in his congratulatory message, said that it is a victory well deserved for Comr Peter Nwosu, urging other contenders to support him in making sure APGA wins the 2023 general election.
