2023: Anyichuks declared winner of Ebonyi PDP guber ticket



DR IFEANYICHUKWUMA Odi (Anyichuks) has been declared winner under the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) primary gubernatorial election in Ebonyi State.

  The Chairman of Electoral Panel, Olalekan Rotimi, who announced the results at the state party secretariat on Sunday in Abakaliki, said that Odi scored 349 highest valid votes to defeat other five closest rivals who contested.

   He disclosed that Emmanuel Ezeh scored one vote, Dr Nwachukwu Augustine got one vote each, Mr Christian Usolor scored nine votes, Mr Andrew Sunday got six and Chief Chukwuma Nwazunku also scored one vote.

  He said: “I, Olalekan Rotimi, having been conferred with the power to chair this panel hereby declare Chief Ifeanyochukwu Odi winner for having scored the 349 highest number of valid votes and for having met all the requirements winner of the primary election.

  “The exercise was counted openly and witnessed by agents of the aspirants, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other stakeholders,” he said.

  In his acceptance speech, Ifeanyichukwuma Odi commended national and state level of the party and the delegates of the party for finding him worthy to be elected to carry the party’s flag and assured that he will restored power to PDP come 2023 governorship election in the state.

  He further promised to carry every member of the party along, including aggrieved members in order to achieve party victory come 2023.

  Meanwhile, Mr Silas Onu, factional chairman, thanked the  party  delegates for successful and peaceful primary election conducted without any conflict.
