Former Ebonyi SSG to fly APGA guber flag

FORMER Secretary to Ebonyi State Government (SSG), Professor Ben Odoh has emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance for the 2023 general election in the state.

  Odoh scored 513 votes to emerge the candidate of the party during the primary election that took place at the party’s state secretariat in Abakaliki, on Sunday.

  Chairman of APGA Gubernatorial Primary Election, Olalere Samson, who declared the results said Odoh picked all the votes having contested unopposed.

  While in his acceptance speech, Odo urged the people of the state to support APGA and  also promised to bring peace, development and prosperity to Ebonyi land if elected governor in 2023.

  He said: “Exactly one year today, I will be sworn in as the next governor of Ebonyi State. I’m deeply honoured to have been found fit to fly the flag of APGA in Ebonyi State. I hereby accept this offer and count myself to ensure that our party wins Ebonyi State”.

  “Let me say it very clear to Ebonyi people, APGA is our own party. It belongs to our region. The only way we can begin to make real progress is to support regional political economy. PDP is already in crisis.
