Govt presents certificate of recognition to new Agulu PG

ANAMBRA State Government has presented certificate of recognition to Chief Oliver Afamefuna as the new presidents General of Agulu People’s Union Nigeria.

  Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Collins Nwabunwanne officially presented the certificate at the presence of the traditional ruler of the town, Igwe Innocent Obodoakor among others executives members of the town.

  Addressing them, Commissioner Nwabunwanne reminded them that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is passionate towards ensuring that lasting peace and stability returns to all the warring communities which the past administration could not achieve.

  He appealed to the PG and other executives present to return to status quo, Fix Mr Onyebuchi Okpala picture as former PG for peace to reign and for the interest of sons and daughters of Agulu town.

  The local government boss harped on the need for them to rule using the town constitution hence the need for them to guard against vices capable of dragging the town to the mood.

  The former transition committee chairman, Sir Onyebuchi Okpala expressed satisfaction with the manner the state government reconciled them and accepted the exercise.

  In their separate speeches the traditional ruler of the town, Igwe Obodoakor, Chief Dan Ogbuefi, Chief Ben Obi (Igwe APGA) and Onowu Paulinus Aniagbaka, commended the state government and Commissioner Nwabunwanne for their peace reconciliation, praying God bless them so immensely.

  Responding, the new presidents general, Chief Oliver Afamefuna expressed satisfaction with the reconciliation exercise and promised to carry everyday along while abiding by the rules, guidelines and constitutions of the town.
