New ASWAMA boss seeks support for service delivery

THE newly appointed Managing Director, Anambra State Waste Management Authority (ASWAMA), Mike Ozoemena has urged staff members to give their maximum support for effective service delivery aimed at achieving the desired goals of the government.

  Mr. Ozoemena gave the urge during a handover ceremony at the ASWAMA office, Awka.  

“Everybody who has introduced him/herself will still have time with me so that I will know what you do.

  “There is something I learnt from Gov. Soludo, if you say you have five staff, he will tell you to list properly their duties from 8am to 5pm so that the office will be busy and you will also be efficient in the field.’’ 

  The former managing director, Mr. Amechi Akorah commended the staff members for the support they gave him during his tenure.

  “I appreciate the support you have given me and I want you to give greater support to the new management. 

  “The management alone cannot make much success in this service without the rest of you, so I want to plead with you to show greater support to your new managing director so that he would make good success.’’

  In a vote of thanks, a former managing director, ASWAMA, Mrs. Njideka Oraedum commended Mr. Akorah for his passion and efforts toward the maintenance of clean environment in the state.

  Mrs. Oraedum assured the new managing director of the staff members support, adding that she enjoyed their support during her tenure.

   `I worked with all of them and they gave me their full support; they also gave their support to managing directors that came after me.’’ 

  She assured the new managing director that he would not be alone in the performance of his job, saying that the staff members and directors would give him their full support.
